Feeling strange...

today.

The weekend was not quite as I had planned it - we went to the local town instead of Broadstairs, but a friend has informed me that the Darth Vader day is in early December, so that will be a good one in the run up to Christmas!

I also failed to find time for the bass guitar lesson with my son or for making bagels :-( Oh well, we hope to fit in the lesson tonight instead, but the bagels might have to wait longer. On Sunday I took the kids swimming, which was great fun. We more or less had the pool to ourselves which was really good for your youngest who finds it hard to get going if there are lots of people splashing around and getting in the way. My daughter is a really good swimmer and has now worked out how to swim like The Man From Atlantis - for those too young to remember him, he swam with his arms by his sides and held his legs together like a mermaid.

But, as I said, today I am feeling strange. It is more like I am a spectator watching myself go through the day, rather than actually doing it. Does that make sense? I usually only experience this sort of thing when things are happening quickly and I rely on instinct and reflexes, but not all of the time. It is an odd feeling, not sure I like it!

Anyone else had this?

More often than you'd think!
It's not an everyday event or anything, but I do have days when I'm not feeling myself - like I literally don't feel like it's me in my body.
Usually that happens when I'm feeling overwhelmed with personal stuff and work stuff - today is one of those days for me too.
Hope you feel yourself soon!

Glad it is not just me! My first thought was stress, but I don't think I am suffering from that right now!

Oh yah, I have those days too and I can't seem to find a commonality as to why.

Most of my weekends go that way too...where I have great plans and they seem to be accomplishable but then don't come to fruition for some reason or another. This weekend was the same for me in this regard.

That form of swimming sounds difficult!...lots of upper body strength!

I've been there, usually when my mind is preoccupied with too many other things. I think we all experience this now and then.

And by the way...I remember the Man from Atlantis. Patrick Duffy, right? Oh, he was so cute. I don't expect you to agree with me ;)

Logzie - you are right - my girl as amazing upper body strength!

Ali - well I did have a quick feel just to see if it helped. Seemed to work for a moment...

Terri - yep, Partick Duffy it was. He did nothing for me, but I am sure that a large part of the population, male and female, were on your side ;-)

This disassociation is very common after exposure to Substance D...

Ah, just Googled it. No, that is not to blame!
