It doesn't get much better than this...

Here I sit, doing light, untaxing work, with a slice of Christmas cake and a bottle of Coke nearby, and "A Christmas Story" playing on a computer. Check out Terri's post on this movie!

Life is good.

I just stumbled into it around 15 years ago...

I was feeling festive this morning so I figured I would go with the Red & Green theme and drink a Coke AND a Mountain Dew!

Just kidding, I drank just the Dew. :)

I think I'll schedule some time to watch that movie myself this weekend! Glad you're enjoying yourself!

Aaron - at least you have got your priorities right!

Terri - Yes, you must watch it again, and again, and again...

At what age do you think it's appropriate to introduce this movie to kids? Are 4 and 2 too young? I think I'll buy that movie today and watch it with my hubby tonight:) Have a great day at work?!

I don't think there is anything bad for kids in it. If they believe in Santa Claus they might not like the one in the movie who is exhausted and cranky, but other than that no problems that I can see. There is a bit of fake swearing which just comes over as gibberish muttering. Watching it is just part of my Christmas ritual and I haver certainly never worried about the kids seeing it.

Rock Chef, at the holidays my job becomes incredibly difficult and overwhelming...I just realized while reading your post it doesn't have to be. No one makes me stay at this job, I deserve to be happy no matter what time of year. Maybe 2008 is the year I make that happen!

We watched the Christmas Story this weekend! How weird is that! I love that movie!

Logzie - well first of all you have to get rid of me!

James - I got A Christmas Story from Tesco for around £3 - well worth it IMO!

Kiki - most jobs have variation in work load. Mine is worst at each end of the academic year. By Christmas things are just rolling along nicely.

Krista - good to hear it. Such a fun film.
